Rize ("we," "our," or "us") is a morning alarm clock app developed by Riley Palattao. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Rize app (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we collect:

• Email address (or Apple private relay email)
• Name, if provided via your sign-in provider
• Authentication tokens used to keep you signed in
• Apple user ID or Google account identifier

Alarm and Mission Data

We store your alarm settings and mission completion records to power the App's features:

• Alarm configuration (time, sound, mission type, repeat schedule)
• Mission completion records (timestamp, mission type, duration)

Photos and Audio (Temporary Processing Only)

Certain missions require your camera or microphone:

• Photos — Taken during photo missions (sky verification, bed verification, object hunt). Photos are sent to Google Gemini AI for verification and are not stored permanently by us or by Google Gemini.
• Audio recordings — Recorded during bible verse and affirmation missions. Audio is sent to Google Gemini AI for verification and is not stored permanently by us or by Google Gemini.
• Camera video — Used during pushup missions for real-time verification. Video is processed on-device or via AI and is not stored.

Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (such as which features are used and general app performance metrics). This data is not linked to your identity.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect location data.
• We do not use advertising or tracking SDKs.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Sync your alarms and settings across sessions
• Verify mission completion using AI-powered analysis
• Track your streaks and completion history
• Improve the App through anonymous analytics

3. How We Store and Protect Your Data

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore). All data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Firebase infrastructure provides industry-standard security protections, including encryption at rest.

Authentication is managed through Firebase Authentication with secure token-based sessions.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

• Google Firebase — Authentication, data storage (Firestore), and analytics. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
• Google Gemini AI — Photo and audio verification for missions. Media sent to Gemini is processed for verification only and is not retained. See Google Privacy Policy.
• Apple Sign-In — Authentication via your Apple ID. See Apple Privacy Policy.
• Google Sign-In — Authentication via your Google account. See Google Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account and alarm data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from within the App. When you delete your account:

• All personal data, alarm settings, and completion records are permanently deleted from our servers.
• Apple Sign-In tokens are revoked.
• Anonymous analytics data that cannot be linked to your identity may be retained.

6. Children's Privacy

Rize is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@rizealarm.app.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
